Thanks for your interest in volunteering with Hood River Adopt A Dog!
We’re excited to share that we’re expanding our volunteer opportunities! In addition to dog walking, there are now many new ways to support our shelter and the animals in our care. Whether you’re interested in helping with administrative tasks, organizing donations, assisting at events, supporting adoptions, or lending a hand with day-to-day shelter needs, we have a place for you. Every volunteer makes a difference, and there are opportunities for a variety of interests, schedules, and skill sets.
Hood River Adopt A Dog is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
Other ways to get involved.
Sponsor a Dog
Adoption fees do not cover all of the expenses for a dog. Sponsoring a dog helps HRAAD by offsetting the cost of food, medical bills, shelter, spay/neuter surgery, and other veterinary care.
Foster a Dog
No matter how hard our staff and volunteers work to provide excellent care in the shelter, it can’t compare to living in a loving home environment.

The lifesaving work of Hood River Adopt a Dog is only possible because of donors like you. HRAAD receives no tax dollars and is not affiliated with any national humane organization.
