Hood River Adopt A Dog relies on donations to care for hundreds of Gorge area dogs each year. These donations help keep our adoptable dogs current on vaccinations and micro-chipped. They help provide necessary medical attention including making sure all our adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered. They help keep our community food pantry filled and help maintain our shelter operations.
Hood River Adopt A Dog is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
Sponsor a Dog
Adoption fees do not cover all of the expenses for a dog. Sponsoring a dog helps Hood River Adopt A Dog by offsetting the cost of food, medical bills, shelter, spay/neuter surgery, and other veterinary care helping to make sure all our dogs receive the care they deserve.

Cans for Canines!
We now have a dedicated trailer to safely collect and store donated cans and bottles for our Cans for Canines program! Your refundable cans and bottles (both plastic and glass) are redeemed through bulk at Oregon BottleDrop, turning everyday recycling into food, medical care, and second chances for dogs at HRAAD.
Save your cans and bottles and just drop them off at the shelter to be sorted and put in our trailer. Spread the word!
Local business with lots of cans to donate? Even better! We will swing by with our trailer for a larger drop!
